A MAN has been arrested in connection with a reported assault in Bournemouth.
It was reported between 3pm and 3.30pm on Saturday, May 4, a woman aged in her 60s was assaulted by a man who is known to her on the West Cliff promenade between the BIC and the Highcliff Marriott Hotel.
During the incident, two men reportedly intervened and shouted at the man to get off the woman.
The woman did not sustain any serious injuries.
Following enquiries, a Bournemouth man aged in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of an assault offence. He has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
Officers are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward and are keen to identify the two men who reportedly intervened so they can take their accounts of what they saw.
